1972 VOLVO 1800ES STATION WAGON
This is a low mileage car ( just over 80,000 miles) with only 4,050 miles since the car was stripped for a complete professional restoration inside and out
Body work: all it required was new rocker panels and original colour Bronze Metallic paint, beautifully done by O’Brien’s Autobody on 82 Avenue. The car was in storage indoors since 1986.

Interior: 2 new leather front seats, ( 2 original seats included ), original Volvo radio is included. Of special note is the Air conditioning which was rare on these cars but much appreciated. The interior including carpet were all stripped out to paint the inside of the car before installing new underlay and carpet. New spare and jack are stored under cargo floor. New leather cargo hold down straps.

Engine: was out to clean and repaint the engine compartment. The engine required nothing except a valve job for unleaded fuel (regular fuel), and new timing gear set. All bearings, pistons and cylinder walls were still as new. Of course all gaskets, seals, hoses were replaced and fuel injectors replaced.
All mechanical work was done by former Volvo mechanic Paul Nash.

New brakes, exhaust, Bilstein Shocks, new heavy duty front and rear sway bars from IPD Volvo, suspension bushings and tires. Factory standard wheels were powder coated.

Transmission: This car was an automatic originally then in the restoration was converted to the sportier 4 speed manual with electric overdrive . The original automatic transmission and related conversion parts are included if the buyer wishes to have them.

Documentation: All records since the original bill of sale from Mathon Motors in Winnipeg, every work order, oil change, parts receipts are included for the entire history of the car since new , as are the photos of the restoration.
