The 37 Rat Rod
THIS IS A CLASSIC “ OLD SCHOOL” RAT ROD
THE 37 FORD SPENT YEARS STORED OUTSIDE ON A FARM WHERE IT DEVELOPED A GREAT PATINA OVER 80 SOME YEARS WHICH INCLUDED MOULD AND FUNGI ROSETTES ON THE PAINT.
THE CAB WAS LEFT ORIGINAL WITH IT’S VARIOUS DENTS AND MINOR RUST AND WAS PLACED OVER A 1928 MODEL A FRAME RAILS THAT WERE BOXED AND REINFORCED WITH TCI CHASSIS PARTS INCLUDING A 4 LINK REAR SUSPENSION WITH COIL OVER SHOCKS. THIS FRAME WAS CHOSEN AS IT WAS NARROWER THAN THE ORIGINAL TRUCK FRAME AND ALLOWED THE CAB TO BE CHANNELED 6 INCHES WITH OUT CUTTING UP THE CAB BODY.
THE FRAME WAS SHORTENED 10 INCHES IN THE FRONT TO SET THE CAB CLOSER TO THE FRONT SUSPENSION. 1966 CORVAIR FRONT CONTROL ARMS , STEERING RACK, BRAKE DRUMS AND COIL SUSPENSION WERE WELDED ONTO THE FRONT FRAME RAILS -- THIS IS AN OLD SCHOOL HOT ROD CONVERSION NOT USUALLY USED TODAY. REAR SUSPENSION IS A 1967 MUSTANG 8 ½ INCH DIFFERENTIAL WITH DRUM BRAKES HUNG ON THE FRAME RAILS WITH TCI COMPONENTS.
THE TRUCK BOX WAS “BOBBED” IN TWO PLACES TO SHORTEN IT AND ALLOW THE WHEEL ARCH TO BE PROPERLY LOCATED OVER THE REAR WHEELS.
THE TAIL GATE IS MADE UP OF BARN BOARD FROM AN OLD HORSE BARN STALL AND HAS HAND FORMED AND FORGED CUSTOM FORD LETTERS.
WHEELS ARE CUSTOM WHEELSMITH WIRE WHEEL UNITS 14 INCH IN THE FRONT AND 15 INCH IN THE REAR WITH AMERICAN CLASSIC WIDE WHITE WALL TIRES.
THE MOTOR IS A 1964 283 CHEVY WITH 4 BOLT MAIN BEARINGS MODIFIED WITH 327 “CAMEL HUMP” HEADS PRODUCING OVER 300 HP. THESE MOTORS ARE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS “SPINNERS” AS THEY REV UPWARDS OF CLOSE TO 7000 RPM.
EXHAUST IS BY CLASSIC LONG TUBE HEADER’S
TRANSMISSION IS A DRAG READY 2 SPEED POWER GLIDE WITH A MODIFIED SHIFT BODY AND 3500 STALL TORQUE CONVERTER. IT IS SHIFTED USING A LOKAR SHIFT KIT WITH A CUSTOM FABRICATED LONG SHIFT ARM AND A SHRUNKEN HEAD SHIFT KNOB.
THE STEERING WHEEL IS A CUT DOWN ROSEWOOD BANJO STYLE WHEEL MOUNTED TO A FLAMING RIVER COLUMN.
VINTAGE GAUGES WERE MOUNTED IN THE ORIGINAL DASH.
THE FRONT SEAT IS A DODGE VAN UNIT COVERED WITH A TRADITIONAL MEXICAN BLANKET.
THE GAS TANK IS A CUSTOM BARREL UNIT WITH HAND MADE LEATHER MOUNTING STRAPS.

ELECTRIC GARAGE BIDDING CONTRACT
TERMS OF SALE:
1. I agree to pay in full on the day of the sale the bid amount plus the buyer’s fee, with cash, certified bank draft(must clear prior to vehicle pick up), etransfer or wire transfer in the amount owed on any vehicle for which I sign a contract and/or am declared the high bidder. High bidders determined by EG Auctions. Terms are cash, certified bank draft, e transfer and wire transfer. We do not accept credit card for vehicle purchases, only deposits.
2. All bidders may be required to provide proof of means to pay for any purchases. EG Auctions retains the right to require a cash deposit before issuing a bid pass. EG Auctions has permission to obtain my credit information.
3. All vehicles or any other purchases are sold “As Is” and without guarantees. In no event shall EG Auctions be responsible for any guarantees. All bids are final and binding upon the drop of the hammer. There is no cooling off provision and all purchasers are responsible fully for their purchases.
4. All statements by the auctioneers and those statements printed in advertisements are believed to be correct. However, bidders are to examine all vehicles and other items before bidding and do so upon his or her opinion and/or examination.
5. EG Auctions is not responsible for correctness of year, genuineness of make, model or options, mileage or any other description of the vehicles. Confirmation of these items and details are the responsibility of the purchaser. You are purchasing the lot numbered item presented at the auction.
6. No vehicle or item may be removed or items from vehicle, keys, etc. until paid for in full
7. Ownership of an item passes to bidder when Auctioneer says “Sold”. At that time the new owner assumes full responsibility of the item.
8. Should any dispute in a bid arise, the auctioneer will use his judgment and his decision is final.
9. All vehicles must be removed from the premises by the purchaser at his own expense during scheduled times. If not removed, EG Auctions may remove and store the vehicle at the purchaser’s risk and expense.
10. A purchaser’s failure to comply with all of the conditions of the sale entitles EG Auctions and/or the Consignor to use other available remedies or courses of legal action to hold the purchaser liable. This may include the following: a) cancel the sale and retain as liquid damages all payments made by the purchaser, b) re-sell the property to a new purchaser at a private or public sale and in any such event the purchaser shall be liable for deficiency plus any incurred attorney fees or court costs and c) purchaser agrees to grant the right of immediate repossession without notice from EG Auctions or its agents.
11. EG Auctions provides Title only, unless announced otherwise. Licensing (including any emissions requirements, vehicle inspections, plates and tabs) is the responsibility of the new purchaser.
12. Statements about the vehicles on the description sheets are provided by the consignor NOT EG Auctions. All statements made by the seller are accepted as reliable. EG Auctions shall have no obligation to verify seller’s statements or claims. Any dispute regarding these statements including mileage must be made directly between consignor and purchaser without effect on the responsibility for paying for the purchase to EG Auctions.
13. If a claim of any kind is to be instituted by purchaser, EG Auctions' buyer shall submit to a mediation and mediator selected of EG Auctions' choice to resolve any dispute. Purchaser must request a Mediation Request Form from EG Auctions prior to any dispute. Any mediation will be binding upon decision. The Mediation Request Form must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase of the vehicle. If this process is not followed, no claim shall be valid. Any claim shall be with the seller as EG Auctions is to receive a commission for sale of said vehicle only.
14. In the event of a dispute, all transactions with EG Auctions may be combined together toward resolving the dispute.
15. Vehicles over 20 years old and all customized/modified vehicles are considered to have frame damage. Assume all vehicles are non-matching numbers with non-original engines, unknown or exempt mileage unless specifically described otherwise by consignor.
16. Any vehicle announced as a tribute vehicle was not originally manufactured as the vehicle it currently appears to be.
17. If any term, condition, covenant, agreement or provision of this contract or the application thereof to any circumstance shall, to any extent, be held by a court of competent jurisdiction or by any authorized governmental authority to be invalid, void or unenforceable, the remainder of the contract shall not be affected by such holding, and the remaining terms, conditions, covenants, agreements and provisions hereof shall continue in full force and effect.
18. The auctioneer may announce special circumstances that apply to the legal status of specific vehicles. These announcements are described here and are part of the contract to purchase that specific vehicle: a) May require bonding – Purchaser will be responsible for any bonding or licensing required in their own state. b) Not street legal – Purchaser understands vehicle is only suitable for off-road use.
19. BUYERS FEE of 12% or $400.00, whichever is greater, of the bid amount will be charged to the Purchaser of each vehicle auction lot sold. Memorabilia fee is 20%. NO BIDS TAKEN FROM UNREGISTERED BIDDERS. All Online Bidders MUST have a method of payment in order to be approved.
